Musical Interlude

CB0629294

It’s been awhile since I wrote a new song.  The last few months have been especially rough – flares, low energy from the adrenal problems I’ve been having, exhaustion and discouragement and malaise.  So I figure, why not make something creative out of it?

I had some trouble coming up with a title for this one.  It was originally called “Flare Song,” because that’s what it’s about.  Right now the working title is “Hit The Ground,” but I’m not sure about this one either.  Suggestions?

***Update – I have changed the name to “Easy.”  Thanks, Lene!  This was one of the titles tossing around in my head, but when someone else said it, it just clicked in.

This also marks the debut of Little Martin!

That’s absolutely beautiful, Remi! I’ve never heard your work before – is that you singing? Really beautiful. And I love the lyrics. I’ll have to play it for my friends – some of whom get what I say about how I feel at times, some who totally don’t, I think…

Thanks for sharing this. 🙂 L

It’s a beautiful melody and arrangement, Rem. Haunting. And the words break my heart. Is that you singing, too? You are so very talented. You may not run, or move easily, but your mind soars. Thank you.

Laurie – you can hear others on “The Songs” page on this blog. Most people’s favorite is “Don’t Let Me,” the first song I ever wrote about RA. You have to scroll down on the song list to find it.

Thanks, guys! There are still things about it I’d like to change… someday I’d like to go into a real studio with recording engineers. I’d also like to get a real guitarist to play the guitar part. But as a demo, I think it’s decent!

    Yes, it’s me singing.

    It’s wonderful!

As for a title, how about just “Easy”?

I don’t know how I missed this one when it came out, but it’s beautiful! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I just listened to your new song. Contemporary music is not my music, but I really liked your analigy of crawling and running. Since I’m 75 with arthritis I can never run any more, but the thoughts are apprapo to people who have any kind of arthritis. You have a good talent to put these feelings into words and music.
